Ashley & Heather’s wedding day was filled with family and friends ecstatic for the two of them! Both of their sisters’ did Ashley & Heather’s makeup and spent time with them getting ready. Heather’s mom put their bouquets together while Ashley’s siblings lent a helping hand. It was truly an example of two families becoming one and helping put together a wedding for their loved ones. Their intimate ceremony was located at Redwing Park in Virginia Beach. The Japanese garden, finally in bloom for spring, was the perfect spot for the two of them to finally see each other.
Heather’s mom wanted to see her walking down the aisle that she actually ended up standing next to me for a little while. When we finally got a glimpse of Heather coming around the corner with her father, Heather’s mom said to me, “My daughter is so beautiful,” with tears streaming down her face. With one hand I took photographs and the other I quickly rubbed her back and said to her, “Yes she is!” When I thought that moment couldn’t be anymore beautiful we saw Ashley walking down and she stopped in her tracks when she saw Heather, smiling from ear to ear. Their ceremony was nothing but happy tears, laughter and smiles. I saw nothing but love coming from them and from everyone around them and I am so grateful to have been able to photograph their wedding day for them. Congratulations Ashley & Heather!
