Andrew and Mary planned to get married outside in the rose garden and celebrate the rest of the night with their family and friends under a clear top tent in the gardens of Botanical Gardens, Norfolk. When Hurricane Matthew came rearing up the coast line towards us they easily made the decision to move everything inside. We spent about five minutes under the gazebo for their first look but then the rain and wind picked up even more and we did the rest of their portraits inside! Mary, Andrew and their bridal party were so easy going and happy to be there, celebrating the soon-to-be newlyweds! The sun set outside and then their ceremony began, as they were surrounded by their closest family and friends, they became husband and wife!
The rest of the evening was made flawless by the quick room flip and decor by Big Top Entertainment, the employees of Botanical Gardens and CMT Event Planning. The hard work and organization from the great people that I met from Big Top Entertainment was outstanding! When they made the call to have everything inside Big Top entertainment planned to drape the entire room and do uplighting for Mary and Andrew, on their own! When the room was all set Mary and Andrew’s guests were seated and their first dance along with a toast from Mary’s father, had everyone in the room, emotional!
Mary and Andrew love to go on adventures together! In fact, after a month long trip to Europe together, they both said they came home knowing that they wanted to marry each other! If any couple, that loves adventure, could handle getting married in a hurricane, it was these two adventure seekers! Congratulations to Mary and Andrew!
Thank you to Heather for second shooting with me on their wedding day!
