Friday Recap: Wedding Invitations and Wedding Features

Being a Wedding Photographer, a fiancé, a bride, and also a bridesmaid to several wonderful women this year one could say that my life and career revolve around weddings, especially this year. So naturally, I blog a lot about them! I would not have it any other way and I am even more thankful that I am in the wedding industry so that when this year passes and we are all happily married that I still get to photograph weddings most weekends! 😉 I have been blogging about our wedding planning, my friends’ bridal showers and soon I will be blogging some DIY decorations. This is all to help other brides planning their wedding to the love of their lives! I have not found it to be stressful, and I enjoy doing everything, but I have found things that could be done easier or what to look for in a vendor or wedding professional. I want to share that with all of you brides and grooms! You can find all of those under Wedding Planning Tips.

With that said I sent our wedding invitations designed by my talented friend April, from Paperdolls Design yesterday and the day before I spent the evening putting them together. It went a little something like this: Stamp. Stuff. Stamp. Tape. Sip. Repeat. for about an hour and a half. I actually thought it was going to take longer than it did. So, let me explain: Stamp the RSVP envelope. Stuff everything together; the invitation, rsvp card and envelope and the information card. Stamp the main envelope. Tape the large envelope closed; because I was not about to lick 90ish envelopes! Sip my glass of wine of course; because every to-do or task for wedding planning is made that much more enjoyable with a glass of wine. Repeat all of those steps because you are going to be doing it around 90ish times!

Above is a sneak peak into our Wedding invitations and I am excited to say that even some of our stamps matched our colors! (This is an iPhone photograph.) We now have a lifetime supply of stamps though because when Cory ordered them he ordered about eight books to many! 😉
